My First Ride

Many children would love to ride but not all families are ready to commit to a full time riding program. “My First Ride” is a perfect way for your child to learn the basics of horseback riding in a private, experience.

 

Once you have selected your date and time, fill out the additional details and click on Check Availability and complete the check out process to submit your request. You will be sent a link to pay once your date is confirmed.

To assist us in pony selection please select your child’s weight range.

Program Details

  • Ages 7 and up
  • Approx. 1 hour in length
  • Helmet provided

Cost: $75/child +GST

Sample Itinerary for My First Ride

First 5 minutes – Greeting, fit helmet, learn to safely catch horse in paddock.

Next 15 minutes – Learn proper grooming tools, techniques and horse care.

Next 20 minutes – Riding lesson including learning how to mount and adjust stirrups independently.

Next 15 minutes – Untack, cool down and groom. Return horse to paddock.

Last 5 minutes – Sweep, put away tack.

  • Fridays – 6:00 – 7:00pm
